Matthew's Blog - 12 June 2017

June 13, 2017
Hi all, Matthew here.

Sorry for not being on for a while.  Steps have been doing rehearsals for a couple of shows that Steps have now done.  The first was for the Mayor's ball which unfortunately, I was unable to attend.  The second was on the Children's ward at Derby Royal Hospital which went well.

As for my Gallery work (Quad) it went really slow on my shifts nearly every week.

Hi all,

Welcome back to the Steps for the Future Blog. There is a lot of news to get through, so let's get started.

The dance class is going well, over the last few weeks we have been rehearsing for the performance at the International Women's Day (held on 11 March 2017), which we have now done and it went rather well.

My voluntary job with 1623 Shakespeare Company has now come to an end.

Now for some sad news, we have officially ended the drama class for now due to a lack of students after Chloe...

We have just done a workshop which went well at Transitions 2 (T2).

Dance class is going well with all members and in the Drama class the drama piece we are working on is coming on extremely well.

The Music class was going well last time I volunteered in it.

My volunteer jobs on Tuessday and Wednes...

Matthew's Blog 12 December 2016

December 16, 2016
Hello again, not much to say about the groups other than to say that the dance and drama classes are going well. I don't know too much about the progress of the music group.

Steps had their Christmas party and had a surprise when the food was delivered as one of the people was a former Steps member in IZZY NOAKES.  It was nice to see her again.

Matthew's update 4 November 2016

November 8, 2016
We have just done 2 NCS Workshops and, from what the other people from have told me, the Workshops went well.  All seems to be going well in the dance class at the moment as well as in the drama class.  I don't personally know what has been happening in the music class, so can't really say.

I have been working really hard at my voluntary job with Ben and the 1623 Theatre Company and have now also just completed my trial month volunteering at the Quad gallery after taking over from Jennifer Coo...

Hello all,

We have been rehearsing for our upcoming NCS workshops at Deda, to be held on 25th and 28th October at Deda and all seems to be going well, as has the Drama group.

One more thing, the Drama group has started rehearsing a dance/drama piece based around one of the songs from Grease.

Anyway, that's all for now.

Spring Festival at The Cathedral

May 28, 2014
Wow! Thank you so much everyone who came along to our Spring festival and made it such an amazing night. Many, many thanks to  Spondon ukulele band, Hadari choir, Lee Hunter of Absolute Salsa, the clowns of the CDP youth theatre and Rev. (and clown) Andy Trenier who all performed magnificently and helped make the night a roaring success. As for the Steps for the Future students, well, weren't they just incredible? They really were the stars of the show and without them, none of this would be ...
